Job Summary

This job requires a basic to strong level of knowledge in aircraft avionics and instrument systems. This
includes varying amounts of parts replacement or repair electrical
troubleshooting inspection of aircraft or systems and general avionics installation. Job duties will vary
each day and will encompass projects as designated by the Lead or Manager and Technicians must be able to work independently.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform avionics installation maintenance and repair on systems and components as determined by the aircraft work scope. This shall include but not be
    limited to items such as removal and installation of panels and components and
    repair work.
  • Inspect and evaluate the aircraft avionics and systems.
  • Build and install electrical wires.
  • Install and integrate avionics systems or components with existing systems.
  • Perform operational and function checks.
  • Ensure accuracy of all work performed in support of delivering a high quality aircraft.
  • Ensure work complies with the work scope uses approved drawings and documentation adheres to applicable FAA regulations and the RSM including completing and signing off all applicable forms (R&I etc).
  • Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Complies with all company Safety standards and other policies/procedures.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by
    the Lead or Manager.

Job Requirements
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; electrical or avionics technical school / certificate preferred.
Experience: 1 plus years of experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Experience in Aviation Maintenance Software programs such as Corridor is preferred.

Attendance: Must have regular attendance and be able to work overtime when needed and potentially work alternate shifts as determined by aircraft schedules and manpower needs.

Compliance: Possess a valid drivers license and US Passport (preferred); must pass a pre-employment drug test; ongoing employment requires participation and compliance with the Anti Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program which includes random testing.

Initiative: Self-motivated able to work unsupervised and maintain a rapid pace. Quality oriented.

Responsibility: Must perform all work in accordance with applicable FAA regulations the company RSM and Safety standards. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain customer service oriented work habits.

Physical Requirements: Routine standing walking bending squatting sitting or stooping. Manual work requires routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands. Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot.
