Oversees assembly disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction. Secret clearance required to start. Must be willing to travel possibly short notice for extended duration. Avionic/electrical system experience required. this is a rotational shift requirement. Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years? related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Travel Required?:Yes International Travel Required: Yes Travel Comments: Short notice for extended durations. Must be willing to travel both domestically and potentially internationally on short notice up to 50% of the time. Possible travel to the Middle East (Saudi Arabia or UAE - Qatar). Additional Comments: Travel required and rotating shifts required. C-17 aircraft experience a plus (reference Request ID 32484-1 for comparable information). This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) assignment. The SCA Occupational Code/Title is 23022 Aircraft Mechanic II with a minimum Pay Rate of $37.04/hr ($32.63 plus $4.41 Health and Welfare Benefits for Washington State Pierce County).
