For over forty years we have delivered high-quality aftermarket aerospace services that are affordable and customer-focused.Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of NALCOMIS/OOMA aircraft maintenance software ALSS engine and support equipment configuration management database management reports and processes.Demonstrate the necessary leadership and management skills to lead the assigned maintenance workforce which in addition to maintenance control may include one or more of the following work centers: scheduled or unscheduled maintenance flight line aviation life support systems ground support equipment and off-site aircraft repair/recovery.Must be able to meet Navy qualification requirements and be certified to release aircraft safe for flight within 90 days of assignment to the position.Responsible for the Maintenance Manager in performing those duties assigned.Supervise plan coordinate and direct the activities of the assigned maintenance team in the maintenance and repair of TH-57 and/or TH-73 aircraft and support of flight training operations.Ensure compliance with the government contract (PWS) NAMP program company maintenance instructions and company policies and procedures to ensure safe and expeditious support of the Navys Flight Training Program.Perform analysis and workload planning to ensure customer service company goals and contract metrics are met. These include but are not limited to estimating/tracking personnel requirements for a multi-shift operation as well as scheduling and coordinating overtime requirements.Evaluate existing methods systems and potential improvements for compliance with maintenance requirements and to ensure cost-effectiveness productivity and personnel safety.Submit to the Maintenance Manager any recommendations for manpower materials facilities and capital equipment.Ensure Maintenance/Work Instructions are established and issued to define and/or clarify maintenance procedures specified in government directives or not outlined in available technical data. Recommend updates and corrections as needed.Team with the Quality Manager to analyze maintenance data to identify trends and deficiencies.Ensure data accuracy and produce Daily Aircraft Status Reports and other reports as required in support of aircraft maintenance and periodic required reports.Will keep the Maintenance Manager apprised on the status of work in progress and coordinate with other work centers and departments as required to accomplish tasks.Must be trained in corrosion control methods and procedures.May be designated as the Companys Weight and Balance Officer if qualified.Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar.May be required to handle hazardous materials in the performance of assigned duties.Must be thoroughly familiar with and ensure enforcement of established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract facilities and job assignment.Assist with the interview selection and training of new employees.Instruct assigned employees on proper methods and procedures as required.Counsel and/or discipline employees verbally or in writing as needed to enforce Company policies directives and CBA requirements following progressive disciplinary procedures.Investigate and resolve employees complaints. Be thoroughly familiar with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); may resolve Step 1 grievances in accordance with the CBA.Must have extensive working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series OPNAV 3750 series applicable ISO Federal Aviation Regulations and Navy Instructions.Must be able to utilize card files and common office equipment.Must be able to effectively interface with Government Representatives. Must be customer-oriented.Be thoroughly familiar with all requirements contained in the government contract government instructions manuals and procedures.Must be thoroughly familiar with and ensure enforcement of Company policies and procedures.Adhere to and enforce all Company and Government regulations to ensure personnel safety and the security and preservation of Government and Company-owned equipment.Ensure compliance with required Quality Control policies and inspections.Responsible for adherence to and enforcement of the Tool Control Program.Responsible for adherence to and enforcement of the FOD Prevention Program.Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work center.Ensure that work is properly documented in government and company electronic and/or manual Information SystemsAssist in ensuring the safety security inventory and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.Perform all other position related duties as well as other projects and initiatives as assigned.Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standardsPosition Scope and CharterMust have a minimum of ten (10) years documented experience in aviation maintenance six (6) years of which must have been in a supervisory or management position and four (4) years of which must have been in Maintenance Control designated to certify aircraft Safe for Flight. Rotary wing aviation maintenance preferred.FAA Airframes and Powerplants License (A) preferredGraduate of U.S. Navy Maintenance Control Admin-OOMA (C-555-0053) or equivalent (preferred).Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to generate compile analyze and evaluate facts and data using statistical and research methodologiesMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have the ability to develop professional relationships with management peers vendors subcontractors and customersMust be able to work weekends other shifts and unpaid overtime as required.Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.Limited travel may be required.Physical RequirementsPrimarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.At times must be able to work in an aircraft hangar environment and board/exit aircraft. At times must be able to climb bend kneel crouch balance and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights subject to noise subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts work on scaffolding exposure to heat/cold.Must be able to communicate effectively.
