Responsibilities/Accountabilities The V2500 Customer Technical Service department is seeking an individual to join our team of highly skilled engineers in East Hartford CT. Our focus is to manage and resolve technical issues for V2500 hardware in order to ensure engine safety and to maintain a competitive advantage relative to operational parameters such as Delays and Cancellations (D&Cs) In-Flight-Shut-Down (IFSD) rate reduction of operator maintenance burden etc. In this role you will work closely with various P&W/IAE engineering groups IAE Customer Programs and IAE field offices to support technical issues and monitor our fleet of more than 6500 engines. This resides in the Troubleshooting Team. may include any of the following: Working directly with airlines world-wide to help them resolve technical issues relative to the operation and performance of the V2500 engine. Working closely with field offices customer support engineering and performance to support investigations and/or questions from the field. Providing solution advice to airlines around the world through usage of the V2500 Troubleshooting Manual (TSM) and the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). Monitoring the fleet to identify potential emerging issues relating to engine control and the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) and escalating them to management accordingly. Ensuring prompt investigation closure for engine operational events. Provide closure summaries to the customer airframer and authorities in a timely manner when required. Identifying and incorporating improvements to the TSM based on lessons learned and customer feedback. Supporting on-time delivery of key parameters for EagleNet case closures In-Service Reportable Occurrences (ISROs) reports and event investigation reports. 10% Travel Qualification: To be successful in this position you should have the following experience: Required BA/BS degree in Engineering with 5+ years Technical Engineering experience OR MA/MS degree Engineering or related field with 3+ years Technical Engineering experience US Person (Permanent Green Card or US Citizen) due to program Preferred Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering Degree An understanding of how a high bypass turbo-fan jet operates and/or V2500 hardware and accessories EEC engine control software knowledge.
