About the Job This will report to our Airport Fueling division and is a great for candidates interested in starting their career in gas pipeline/construction who are open to travel. Candidates should be willing to travel 50% of the time to either the SFO/LAX airports (business travel expenses covered by division cost center). Project engineers will provide support to the Superintendent and Project Manager by performing routine daily activities and assisting in gathering and distributing information to team members. Supports project team as required to ensure work compiles with applicable codes drawings and specifications Coordinates change orders expedites materials and job site Upholds all safety regulations while performing work in the job field Prepares estimates budgets and project schedules Compiles data to assist in analyzing project progress including production quantities reviewing timecards and daily reports Drafts work authorizations with support of Project Managers Prepare track and process RFIs change orders and billings Tracks and processes vendor/subcontractor invoices Forecasts future costs associated with projects Assists in assembling a job start up Other duties as assigned Job Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or equivalent Must be able to travel up to 50% between SFO/LAX airport and the Benicia CA headquarter office Airport fueling or gas transmission experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills and manages time effectively Must be able to pass standard background/drug screening Must be able to pass DMV report Must have active drivers license Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Project and Excel Ability and willingness to travel to job-sites for daily visits or extended assignments based on project needs It is the continuing policy of Underground Construction to afford equal opportunities for all qualified persons regardless of their race creed color age sex gender sexual orientation national origin religion disability medical condition marital status veteran status or any other protected class at the local state or federal level.
