We provide solutions for the entire product life cycle of an aircraft - from raw material to aftermarket service. Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Performs Industrial Engineering functions in support of fabrication and assembly of aircraft composite and sheet metal structure Determines the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow. Maintains and documents processes Performs work measurement and develops standard work capacity planning line balancing and efficiencies Takt time analysis and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel Establishes and revises Standard Hour Content levels Eliminates waste (MUDA) and identifies improvements to reduce non-value added processes utilizing lean manufacturing techniques and Kaizen Establishes or assists to establish accident prevention measures and may plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations Conducts studies pertaining to cost control cost reduction inventory control and production record systems. Based on these studies develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods Supports and drives Lean initiatives Forecasts overtime and personnel needs for manufacturing operations. Works under general direction. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives Expected interaction with the production personnel and support team approximately 80% of the day The successful candidate requires a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and 0-2 years of related experience Strong computer skills including proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Excel PowerPoint Word and Microsoft Project etc. Coding skills such as VBA or SQL are a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training a plus Experience with SAP or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) a plus Understanding of an Operations Value Stream for manufacturing required This must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required Options for this job online Refer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the function is not working properly at this moment.
