And to do so the systems engineering solutions evolve as technology rapidly improves.Our systems engineering work identifies nurtures and promotes use of innovative technologies for solving our sponsors and partners most challenging problems in transportation aerospace cyber AI mechanical defense health enterprise business and other systems.As an Intern working in systems engineering you will work with a team to apply your knowledge and gain experience with one or more of the following: Digital and model-based engineering Mission and system of systems engineering AI-enabled systems engineering Agile systems engineering Systems security engineering Mechanical engineering structural analysis thermal dynamics Aerospace engineeringRequired Qualifications Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in Systems Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related degree program. Must continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship. Knowledge of systems mechanical or aerospace engineering theory. Sustained excellence in academic performance High level desire to help their nation solve its most critical challengesPreferred Qualifications Experience in Systems Engineering tools such as: MagicDraw Cameo Enterprise Architecture Rhapsody Stella iThink Anylogic Systemitool or relevant SE design tools. Proven ability to work independently to learn new systems mechanical and/or aerospace engineering technologies techniques processes languages and best practices. Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML) Experience with Digital Engineering Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Science and Technology (S&T) capability assessments trade studies and analysis of alternatives Experience with prototype design CAD Sustained excellence in academic performance High level desire to help their nation solve its most critical challengesClearance: In addition to passing MITREs employment background check you may be submitted for a U.S. Government Security clearance.
