Description, duties, responsibilities
Material handling experience and a Valid Driver’s License are required.
High School Diploma or GED required. Related expediting and/or material handling experience preferred. Valid Driver’s License required.
Position Purpose: Under moderate supervision, responsible for a variety of activities within the material control function in support of manufacturing. Maintain accuracy of materials and data entry.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Interpret route cards and/or material request forms to ensure accurate movement of materials. .
- Ensure request is handles for replacement material such as scrap, DMT or miscellaneous issues. .
- Move materials to the correct location through inventory transactions using appropriate systems. .
- Responsible for tracking of parts requested to support Manufacturing schedules. .
- Operate material handling equipment and company vehicles as required. .
- Responsible for assigned equipment. .
- Work with others as a team on dispatching functions. .
- Complies with all company safety regulations. .
Additional Functions:
- Ensure housekeeping in work area and comply with all company safety regulations. .
- Learn and apply Lean concepts within functional responsibilities. Supports a continuous improvement culture including lean principles, sustainability initiatives, ergonomic improvements, safety, and cross functional teams. .
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Able to pass math and reading assessment..
- Capable of working in an automated system..
- Demonstrate experience in materials coordination..
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel..
