Description, duties, responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Gasoline Engine Controls Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and implementation of advanced engine control algorithms for spark-ignited powertrain systems. This role plays a critical part in delivering robust production-ready software by working across cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance gasoline engine control algorithms across the full V-model development lifecycle

• Collaborate with systems calibration and software teams to define requirements and implementation strategies

• Design and implement AUTOSAR-compliant software components and interfaces (SWCs ARXML)

• Analyze and integrate CAN communication (DBC files) and ECU interfaces across vehicle architectures

• Develop and validate control strategies using MIL HIL dyno and in-vehicle testing environments

• Support diagnostics implementation including OBD DIDs PIDs and fault handling strategies

• Define software architecture feature variants and memory optimization strategies

• Generate software builds and validate integration using embedded systems and rapid prototyping

• Create and maintain technical documentation including CFTS CCDD DVP&R and ADD

• Lead design reviews and provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders and leadership

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning standups and program reviews

• Track feature delivery ensure quality standards and support regulatory compliance requirements
