The Avionics Manager Customer Relations position will report to the Director of Maintenance at GSO-M and will support the Avionics and Avionics Sales Departments.


Support and assist the Technical Sales Team with customer proposals and quotations, as required.
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure sufficient inventory to meet customer needs and requirements.
Ensure that parts needed are ordered timely.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors to ensure customer requirements are met timely.
Manage coordination with vendors for outside services to be accomplished to support the work scheduled.
Support and assist sales in developing avionics solutions by accurately researching and quoting parts, labor and outside services for avionics projects.
Coordinate and manage the completion of avionics installation forms, FAA Form 337s, and weight & balance calculations.
Assess continued conformance with approved drawings or approved data.
Create and develop installation drawings using AutoCAD and VisualCAD software.
Serve as primary point of contact for outside engineering.
Manage customer relations issues or concerns.
Support and assist with integrating new avionics components into existing suite platforms.
Manage troubleshooting of complex avionics systems.
Work together with other members of management in establishing procedures and controls to ensure improved customer relations and services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The following functions may be performed in variable weather and environmental conditions such as jet engine fumes, dust or jet engine noise. Must have ability to:

Regularly talk and hear.
Frequently sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle or feel objects and to reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language.
Analyze, interpret and explain documents such as governmental regulations, installation and operating instruction and specifications, safety rules and procedures.
Write comprehensive reports, documents and correspondence.
Write defect and repair statements.
Perform simple math calculations and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Report to work in a regular and timely manner.


High school diploma or equivalent.
10 years of work related experience.
PC Computer skills to include, Windows, MS Office & E-mail. (CAD experience a plus).
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Exceptional problem solving.
Excellent communications skills at all levels.
Possesses quality focus and documentation skills.
Must have working knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
Basic understanding of: VHF Comm systems, GPS, VOR, ILS, DME, transponder systems, Autopilot systems, Pitot-Static systems (including RVSM re-certifications), Aircraft batteries, Cabin entertainment systems, FAA regulations, and general flight line troubleshooting.
Prior issuance of an FAA Repairman Certificate with an avionics repair station is a plus as well as having an FCC license.
Possess current knowledge of regulations and all technical data for avionics installations.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
