Description, duties, responsibilities
In this role you will have great latitude to establish and perform the Test Program for a new UAS product. Were seeking experienced UAS Test pilots Safety Test pilots and Test Engineers to support the test and operations of SNCs Uncrewed System that will be fielded across the globe. You will support internal and external project efforts by developing test procedures identifying key test activities and milestones safely operating and testing a UAS verifying conformance to requirements working with all other engineering groups to identify and resolve design flaws and deficiencies.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable turn-key command/control communications integrated ISR force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense Department of Homeland Security commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations engineering and full lifecycle management across domains air land sea space and cyber. Responsibilities:
- Perform UAS flight tests
- Document Test results
- Lead UAS test programs
- Design and write Test procedures
- Ensure safe UAS operations
- Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines
Must-haves:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of experience
- Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Advanced Knowledge of requirements management system design and systems integration
- Demonstrated experience planning conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
- Experience with Unmanned systems test programs
- Unmanned Systems Flight operations
- Flexibility in schedule and ability to travel
- Strong Leadership skills
- Independent self-starter work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to Access and Maintain Access to CUI
Preferred:
- FAA Part 107 and Part 61 FAA Certifications
- Private Pilot license with FAA Class 3 medical
