Aircraft Structures MechanicSSE is a leading technology company serving St. Louis MO and Jacksonville FL for over 30 years. We develop aviation courseware training virtual training environments technical publications and supply personnel to the aerospace industry for some of the most advanced military and commercial aircraft platforms.We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in Jacksonville FL.This aircraft mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls engines hydraulics pneudraulics fuel systems and mechanical components applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures manuals.Job requirements: must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting repair procedures and replacement of parts requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair must have basic knowledge of electrical theory must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment torque wrenches dial indicators micrometers sheet metal brakes and sheers.This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance as required from supervisor or higher-level technician will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.This position may require 2nd or 3rd shift assignments and overtime as requested by management.QUALIFICATIONS: Aircraft repair/mechanic experience prefer military experience Ability to read and interpret schematics technical manuals and other engineering drawings Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team with diverse cultures "This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required."BENEFITS: 40 hour work weeks flexible schedule Weekly pay checks 12 Paid Holidays 13 PTO days per year 401k plus company match Medical Dental Vision plans
