RENAC is looking for a suitable candidate to execute the duties of Chief Pilot within the

Operations function.

CHIEF PILOT

Purpose of the position: The Chief Pilot shall be an active Pilot (Commander) reporting to the

Director of Operations. The Chief Pilot has control over the Flight Personnel and also ensuring

the safe efficient operation of all company aircrafts.

Key areas of responsibility:

His/her functions duties and responsibilities are:

? Ensure that the companys operations comply with the requirement of the current Air

Operator Certification and Regulations.

? Assist and advise the Director of Operations in the development of the companys

operational policy and procedures and to ensure its effective implementation as

applicable to his/her area of responsibility and aircraft type.

? Ensure overall security safety and welfare of flights and make recommendations to the

Director of Operations for associated contracts.

? Guided by RENACs performance management system he recommends to the Director

of Operations the promotion demotion of staff under his control.

? Control the budgets of the operations under his control in consultation with the Director

of Operations.

? Ensure a periodic review of the aircrew and operations staff to ensure an adequate

workforce of properly qualified personnel. In case of Flight Crew it shall be implemented

in cooperation with the Chief Training Captain or Fleet TRE (as applicable).

? Ensure the overall discipline welfare and morale of Flight Crew Members.

? Ensure Crew licenses and qualifications are valid for the period through which the Crew

Members are valid to fly.

? Ensure the Crew Members proficiency has been checked and found satisfactory at the

specified intervals.

? Ensure the approval of the company routes and airfields to be used.

? Ensure the maintenance of records for the minimum statutory periods for employees

performing Crew Member or Flight Dispatch duties in sufficient detail to determine that

the employee meets the experience and qualification as required for their duties.

? Ensure crew-hours control and pairings.

? Ensure that the manuals related to his section are maintained current and that all

revisions are incorporated communicated and effectively implemented.

Experience and Role expectations

1. These is a residence position and a full package.

2. The role expectation is that of Chief Pilot as well as flying Captain.

3. Potential candidates need to be type-rated on the Airbus -A340 or the McDonnell

Douglas-MD87.

4. Previous management training and auditing experience in Aviation will be an advantage
