Come soar with us.Participants in the Troy Engineering co-op program will have the opportunity to rotate through an engineering department within Collins Aerospace to learn aspects of the design test analysis and customer support of aircraft wheels and brakes and braking systems.This is an onsite position based out of our Troy Ohio site location; may be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities: Participants in the Engineering internship program will have the opportunity to rotate through an engineering department within Collins Aerospace to learn aspects of the design test analysis and customer support of aircraft wheels and brakes and braking systems. Gain knowledge in planning designing and developing mechanical products and systems in areas including but not limited to mechanical thermal hydraulic thermodynamic or heat transfer. Assist in evaluating and analyzing various mechanical products to determine their cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Participates in product development activities executes tests and produces parts designs or sketches following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design safety and qualification standards. Participate in product development activities including cost estimates implementation of standard specifications drawing layouts and development of performance or maintenance requirements. Execute tests for systems sub-systems and components. Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives. Follow all appropriate design safety and qualification standards in development programs. Learn test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects. Produce parts designs or sketches for machines components systems or work orders / purchase requests.Basic Qualifications Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.Preferred Qualifications Available/interested in 2 sequential co-op rotations Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Please consider the following role type definitions as you apply for this role.Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.
