Quality Engineering Technician I
Position Summary/Essential Functions:
The Quality Engineering Technician will be responsible for learning and supporting QE activities related to dispositioning material discrepancy reports work instruction updates procedure/drawing updates tooling design and organization (physical and database) and other Engineering activities that support Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Approve parts dispositioned by Engineering on material discrepancy reports. Creates reports identifying MRB trends and opportunities for process improvements.
- Support QEs with airworthiness form corrections.
- Identifies and updates drawings / procedures / work instructions to clarify and standardize quality processes.
- Works with production cells and Quality Engineering to assess needs for safety 5S and process improvements related to quality compliance and yield.
- Provides support to Quality Engineering team to resolve TIB issues and anything impacting daily quality needs.
- Assists the QE with failure analysis and corrective action investigations by collecting interpreting and summarizing data.
- GED or HS diploma
- 2 years of related experience
- Blueprint reading and Component Maintenance Manual familiarization.
- Demonstrated active participation in team meetings project teams improvement efforts.
- Broad process experience including inspection machining flow test desired.
- Use of hand inspection tools.
- Level 1 Inspector / Repairman preferred
