RECRUITING COORDINATOR FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
Location: Charlotte NC (AA CLT Training Center)
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Supervisor Flight Attendant Recruiting
Travel: Minimal (10-20% 1-2 overnights per month)
Relocation: Local candidates preferred
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Recruiting Coordinator will help us hire the best of the best to meet our growth plans. S/he will be responsible for administrative and staffing support new hire processing and onboarding coordination for the Flight Attendant Recruiting and Inflight Services teams.
Flight Attendant recruiting is a high volume fast-paced environment that sees an average of 2000+ applications 200+ interviews 10-14 offsite events 250+ flights/hotels booked and 50-75 hires every month. The ideal candidate for this role has had some exposure to both Staffing and Inflight Services works well in a high-demand atmosphere is customer-service oriented and is proficient at booking travel using Sabre.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Staffing Support – 40%
  • Coordinate the interview process:
    • Invite qualified candidates to complete further assessments and/or phone interviews
    • Book screened candidates for in-person interviews at one of our base events ensuring accuracy of interview schedules and all correspondence to candidates and staffing teams
    • Manage candidate and interview team scheduling conflicts and proactively communicate challenges to Flight Attendant (FA) Recruiter and
    • Prepare interview templates for staffing team using assessment tool results.
  • Organize and process candidates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) assigning and updating all workflow interview and schedule changes in the candidate’s profile.
  • Maintain communications and relationships with new hires to resolve any issues/questions as they move through the hiring process.
  • The Coordinator will focus on providing an excellent candidate experience throughout the full lifecycle of interaction with FA applicants using a “high touch” personalized approach.
  • Liaise with Recruiting Program Specialist on ATS system issues and enhancements.
Event Coordination Support – 20%
  • Assist with planning contract management attendance coordination and scheduling travel and accommodations for FA Recruiting events.
  • Coordinate event materials including paperwork equipment decor and promotional items.
  • Attend events to act as support to FA Recruiting team which may include processing candidates’ legal documents collecting fingerprints and coordinating interview materials.
Administrative Support – 20%
  • Provide support to FA Recruiter with focus on scheduling candidate travel and accommodations and coordinating candidate communication in the ATS.
  • Process applicant paperwork and filing on a regular basis using compliance guidelines.
  • Under direction of leadership create and maintain position-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation.
  • Attend Recruiting meetings share knowledge and skills with teammates and contribute to learning efforts where appropriate.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects as assigned.
New Hire Onboarding Coordination – 20%
  • Act as primary coordinator of Flight Attendant new hire processing and paperwork from offer acceptance through Day 1 Orientation including but not limited to the following:
    • Distribute offer letters and training packets to new hires; field Onboarding questions
    • Initiate and schedule pre-employment paperwork and screening; follow-up on results
    • Update ATS with all relevant dates and candidate Preboarding information
    • Report out new hire Preboarding status and Onboarding schedules to all stakeholders
    • Distribute new hire welcome gifts and coordinate Day 1 welcome and
    • Distribute and monitor new hire surveys; report results to Director.
  • Coordinate and schedule all new hire travel related to pre-employment and Onboarding.
Daily Accountabilities:
  • Accountable for timely and accurate communication to all key providers and stakeholders involved in FA Recruiting and Onboarding expediting information changes as they arise.
  • Attain and utilize in-depth knowledge of the Flight Attendant role and recruiting process to act as competent support and resource for FA Recruiter candidates and new hires.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies as well as with all applicable external regulations.
  • Foster a safe and positive work environment through diligence teamwork and a constructive attitude. Report all unsafe and negative activities to the Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience; human resources support experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service hospitality sales or Flight Attendant experience
  • Intermediate proficiency or above in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and booking travel and accommodations
  • Ability to work with a team under minimal supervision and meet deadlines in an aggressive growth environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor is essential
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA degree preferred but not required if proven relevant experience exists
  • Experience booking travel using Sabre or similar technology
  • Knowledge of recruiting / talent acquisition processes desired
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems preferred
  • Experience coordinating recruitment events (e.g. round robin interviews job fairs career events)
  • Exposure to legal and compliance aspects of Recruiting / HR
