Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Manager Engineering 3 to provide leadership to our NASA Programs Chief Engineering/System Safety/KSC Quality Assurance teams at the Promontory Utah and Kennedy Space Center (KSC) facilities. Position Summary:Responsible for the development and execution of the AS9100 certified Quality Management System for NASA Programs which includes all aspects of S&MA (Safety Quality Environmental and Security). Lead efforts to develop communicate and implement S&MA vision strategy goals and metrics that drive business objectives for cost safety quality customer satisfaction enhanced process control error proofing and continuous improvement. Utilizes effective talent management strategies to attract develop retain and engage the right people for the organization. Drive the integration and implementation of S&MA processes and procedures at KSC. Duties include: programmatic execution of the S&MA function; Earned Value Management (EVM); Risk Management; Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA); Hazard Analysis; Probability Risk Assessment (PRA); Cause/Corrective Action and customer relations (i.e. NASA DCMA Program Office and Integrated Operations). Directly manage Chief Engineers System Safety Engineers and KSC Quality Engineers and Quality Control Technicians at our Promontory Utah and KSC locations. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelors in Engineering Chemistry or Physics advanced degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible rocket motor design manufacturing and/or quality engineering experienceBasic Qualifications: Working knowledge of Safety and Mission Assurance policies procedures processes and systems Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with internal and external customers Demonstrated leadership abilities including the ability to coach develop and mentor others Demonstrated problem solving skills in a teaming environment Ability to drive change through creating sustaining and improving standards and proceduresPreferred Qualifications: Five or more years in leadership in S&MA manufacturing operations engineering project/systems engineering and/or program management.
