TITLE: Store Manager LOCATION: JFK Airport New York City New York REPORTS TO: Director Retail POSITIONOVERVIEW: The Store Manager is responsible for achieving business developmentin line with the brands strategy overall management of the store staffmerchandise and customer service. TheStore Manager is also accountable for achieving sales and operationalobjectives building highly motivated teams and developing associates to thebest of their abilities and/or next level of their career path within NewellBrands Technical Apparel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAND Meet set business goals as defined by corporate. Motivate sales staff to meet assigned sales andproductivity goals for their department. Demonstrate sales leadership for staff byplaying an active role on the selling floor. Maintain the highest degree of customer serviceand store standards every day. Manage the development of store and brand clientele;follow-through with client needs inquiries and sales opportunities. Direct and assist sales associates with variouscustomer service issues. i.e. dissatisfied customers and returns. Empower associates to make decisions in the bestinterest of providing exceptional customer service. Use the Point of Sale (POS) system and itsinventory management functions effectively. Partner with logistics and product teams toensure appropriate merchandise assortment and quantities. Provide monthly qualitative and quantitativebusiness reports as stipulated by the Corporate office. Create staff work schedules and ensureappropriate store coverage while achieving payroll budget goals. Maintain good communication with members ofcorporate offices and other stores. Administer follow-up and paperwork in anaccurate and timely manner. Provide training to ensure that retails storeemployees are proficient in current POS system. Meet inventory accuracy shrink goals andoperational audit requirements. Manage all shipping and receiving practices. Implement and maintain merchandising standardsand directives as communicated by corporate. Develop and motivate staff through regularindividual and store meetings; administer quarterly and annual reviews. Be involved in store succession planning bytraining and developing personnel to the best of their abilities and/or thenext level. Recruit employment candidates for all levelswithin the store with that meet company standards. Lead staff in any necessary relocation of storefront and associated equipment products and supplies which may includemovement and assembly of store fixtures. Supervise employees and uphold company policieswhile adhering to proper procedures regarding disciplinary action. Manage professional development. Supervise Others: Yes Expected Travel: Up to 10% of the time. BASIC The ability to pass an airport securitybackground. A minimum of three years of retail storemanagement preferably in the active-outdoor industry. A practical knowledge of other functionsincluding sourcing design marketing wholesale sales merchandisinginventory planning and distribution. Proven self-motivation and capability of workingwithout significant supervision. Prove ability to work in a fast-paced andevolving environment. Strong analytical skills and data-driventhinking. Proficient in all MS programs particularlyExcel Word PowerPoint and Outlook. PREFERRED A passion for Travel and Adventure. A Bachelors Degree in Sales Marketing orrelated field.
