Overview
Supporting the Billing Manager with the key responsibility of ensuring the following:
+ Billing for North America Fuel is carried out in a timely manner.
+ Billing is accurate and consistent in all locations and in line with contracts.
+ Day to day responsibility of Fuel Billing.
+ Oversee / maintain the Fuel contract set up and validation in RSMS (billing system).
Main accountabilities include:
+ Responsible for Fuel contract set up and maintenance as assigned by the Billing Manager.
+ Reconcile billing activity approve invoice batches and post monthly journals.
+ Track closing activity and manage time of the team to meet all assigned deadlines.
+ Look at ways to streamline the billing process to reduce overtime while increasing accuracy.
+ Under the direction of the Billing Manager implement cross training and proper coverage of tasks in the department.
+ Responsible for reviewing the work of the team and providing direction and training.
+ Direct team on issues they encounter or direct them to the correct support teams.
+ Communication bridge between respective finance managers and billing team and contact for commercial team within area of responsibility.
+ Ensure taxes concession fees and other withholdings are calculated and billed correctly.
+ Maintain proper customer tax documents contracts and other supporting documentation.
+ Under the direction of the Billing Manager assist in the setup of new customers contracts and changes to the current business are maintained in RSMS for data input by the billers and stations.
+ Manage month end close deadlines prepare reports for closure and mark necessary accruals with reasoning behind them.
+ Prepare reports as assigned.
+ Propose changes to the billing system (RSMS).
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
+ 5 years’ experience.
+ Experience in the aviation industry is desirable but not essential.
+ Self-motivated and disciplined.
+ Highly accurate and detail oriented.
+ The ability to work in an international environment.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at different levels and from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
+ Strong leader with the ability to motivate the team and create an engaging work environment.
