Description, duties, responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Completing all documents for shipping. Filing AES preparing airway bills confirming all documents are on hand required for shipping and by TSA.
+ Tracking shipments daily and alerting customers with complete details.
+ Following all TSA security and regulations.
+ Checking in Dangerous Good (DG) cargo and completing the DG checklist. Completing all DG documents for shipping. Inspect cargo to confirm that cargo is correctly labeled and marked. If not DG certified AMI will send you to a class.
+ Complete costs on each file and print invoices. Making sure that all files are invoiced before the last day of the month. Mail invoices daily.
+ Prepare to check the log and send it into accounting weekly or when instructed.
+ Answer emails from customers and overseas agents in a timely manner.
+ Make bookings with airlines. Schedule trucks to pick up cargo.
+ Answering phones in a timely manner.
+ Handling on hand notifications and airline transfers for our 3rd party warehouse customers.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ This position is located in Kent WA.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Must be able to speak read and write in English proficiently.
+ Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
+ Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
+ Work is done before leaving the office.
+ Must pass a pre-employment background check.
