+ Fully responsible for all aspects of the station (combined Menzies and ASIG station operations). Services offered at the station include US Mail handling (Shared Network).
+ Fully accountable for the financial performance and compliance with Corporate Governance legal and quality aspects of Menzies’ businesses in the station
+ Leading and working with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate effective safety and security systems risk assessments periodical inspections and audits operational training programs planning operational processes and service delivery.
+ Regularly interacts with customer and affiliates to promote the station and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. Uses feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes
+ Implementation of the company policies and procedures promoting sound safety security and people management practice.
+ Promoting and driving a ‘safety first’ culture through all levels of the organisation.
+ Ensure the business unit remains fully compliant with internal standards and all relevant industry regulatory and state legislated requirements.
+ Lead and motivate hard working teams to deliver excellent quality and productivity
+ Directing and motivating station leadership to achieve agreed targets and expectations.
+ Safety and security is the responsibility of each employee
+ Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints resolving problems and ensuring employees successfully complete companys training program. Head count management; operation planning; staff scheduling; resource allocation; LoB-specific training/policy/SOP development; Payroll administration; Purchasing and vendor-relations; customer-relations; facility and equipment maintenance oversight; invoicing and revenue management
+ Compliance with State/Federal/Company/Contractual laws regulations policies guidelines and obligations; pertaining but not limited to labor workplace transportation and record-keeping
+ See Dept. of Labor Service Contract Act MA State OSHA Dept. of Transportation USPS Terminal Handling Services (THS) Contract
+ Maintaining communication and daily reporting for Post Office. Scheduling and planning are critical.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
+ Degree or postgraduate qualification
+ Excellent leadership and people management skills
+ Wide ranging general management experience with some years of senior management experience
+ Extensive management experience preferably in a ground handling mail handling or a logistics environment
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to influence and present at all levels.
+ Interpersonal skills: Independence decisiveness and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support. Able to influence engage and motivate at all levels
+ Flexible determined to succeed and self-motivated
+ Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel Word Powerpoint) and able to learn other computer-based systems
+ All applicants must hold requisite employment authority to work in the USA
+ Fluent in English
