Employment Relationship This position is employed directly by one of George J. Priester Aviations managed aircraft clients. While George J. Priester Aviation supports recruiting for this role the interview and selection process will be conducted by the client. The successful candidate will be an employee of the client not George J. Priester Aviation.

We are looking for a passionate self-motivated individual to serve as the Associate Aircraft Technician for Hawker 4000 aircraft based in the KC area Flying Part 135 and 91 operations. Applicants must be able to perform all phases of troubleshooting repair and maintenance on assigned aircraft and inspect required items and maintain Company operated aircraft in a continuously airworthy condition in accordance with applicable Federal Air Regulations (FARs) and Manufacturers requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform or oversee the performance of and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and support equipment.
  • Do necessary inspections using precision instruments to measure parts for wear and use.
  • Comply with tool calibration requirements. Communicate and document all inspections and calibrations with Priester Maintenance Control
  • Travel to aircraft locations to support owner aircraft in Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations or arrange repairs through outside vendors. On occasion travel on the owner aircraft for test flights troubleshooting or at the owners request. Coordinate release of aircraft with Maintenance Control.
  • Performs receiving inspection on all incoming parts and components.
  • Responsible for assuring that the companys goals for safety security and quality are met by continual compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting through the appropriate process any safety security or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of and compliance with the highest ethical and legal standards related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Maintains complete and accurate database of maintenance activity and inventory.
  • Travel as needed. Estimated travel is 30%.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • Associates (or higher) in an Aviation Technology area or related field of study.
  • 8-10 years of relative experience.
  • Valid/current drivers license.
  • Have or able to get a US passport

  • Ability to work on a lift platform 3 feet to 40 feet in the air as required by repair needs.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing repairs.
  • Ability to lift and move machine parts weighing up to 70 pounds and maneuver any single item weighing up to 125 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person.
  • Must be able to effectively and quickly perform repairs in short notice high pressure situations to meet lift demands.
  • Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers.
  • Able to travel to locations including international in order to perform repairs on short notice.
  • Must possess the ability to operate basic hand tools.

Work environment and physical requirements: Work is performed in a normal service hangar setting or on the airport ramp environment. Travel between facilities is required with occasional evenings and weekend work. The typical workweek is in person 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. Deadlines disturbances of workflow and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis. Employment is dependent upon successful background and social media checks as well as drug screening.

Compensation package:

  • Eligible for 15-20% bonus target.
  • Relocation compensation negotiable (qualified move allowances coordinated with Controller).
