Aerospace and defense company seeks full time Avionics Systems Engineer! This provides critical acquisition support for the U.S. Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford MA and is responsible for supporting critical Air Force aerospace programs and platforms. Candidates must have strong working knowledge of CNS/ATM technologies practical hands on execution of the airworthiness process and exposure to aircraft integration considerations and challenges. include: Provide advice and recommendations regarding requirements interpretations alternative courses of action impacts on program schedule and budget; and review evaluate and comment on Request for Proposals (RFPs) Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Fast Track Change Notices support Program Management Requests (PMRs) Technical Interchange Meetings Test Meetings etc. Provide electronic/electrical engineering assessments and solutions for command and control systems avionics and sensors that include consideration of electromagnetic compatibility/ electromagnetic interference (EMC/EMI); digital and analog communications design assessment and analyses; network architecture and design assessment; systems simulations; and specification development and compliance. Applicants should be fluent in MS Office be extremely professional and self-motivated and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of the principles policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management as well as knowledge of roles and relationships of Department of Defense and the Air Force are highly desired.
