This is a new position that will help to enhance their Lean program making it more robust. This Continuous Improvement Leader is a Lean thinker focused on leading the site through their Lean Excellence model. This person will lead coach and influence the plant leadership team ensuring their commitment to the Lean deployment roadmap. Core responsibilities: Drive a culture that is aligned to the companys values and commitment to Continuous Improvement Create and execute the Site Lean Deployment Plan Teach coach and mentor the plant management team and employees in Lean Manufacturing facilitating change management at the site Ensure the correct allocation of resources to make Lean deployment a success making problems immediately visible allowing problem solving to take place Strong focus on business performance results and key metrics in the elimination of waste Champion effective on-going communication throughout the site on the implementation of lean thinking and best practices to advance lean competencies Requirements: 3 years of Lean deployment experience in a manufacturing environment Bachelors degree with a strong preference for a technical discipline with working knowledge of Lean Operating Systems (like the Toyota Production System) Previous aerospace industry experience a plus Understanding of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership Strong working knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies which include Standard Work Value Stream Management 5S TPM Material Replenishment etc...
