Description, duties, responsibilities

Aircraft Mechanic I will assist the Director of Maintenance Shop Foreman and A&P Technicians with various jobs in the maintenance facility to ensure daily operations continue in a safe and productive manner.Duties include but not limited to:+ Assist maintenance facility with various assigned tasks+ Assist maintenance personnel with maintenance items+ Assist with 100hr/ Annual Inspections + Assist with aircraft engine run-ups+ Pull aircraft in and out of maintenance facility+ Assist with stocking parts room inventory+ Responsible for keeping maintenance facility in a clean and orderly conditionMinimum Requirements+ Basic working knowledge of aircraft and basic maintenance procedures+ Minimum of one year experience in aircraft maintenance in an A&P School + Valid drivers license+ Ability to lift/move minimum of 50lbs stand and walk for 8 hrs day+ Ability to sit stand bend/stoop squat/crouch climb and kneel+ Work 40 hours a week or more when needed.Education / Certifications+ High School Diploma or Equivalent Clearance+ NoneDesired Requirements+ Minimum of General and either Airframe or Powerplant Mechanics rating.The position is contingent upon candidates ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal state and local jurisdictional requirements.Government or customer site-specific requirements may include but are not limited to proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status except in circumstances where a candidate is legally entitled to an accommodation.MAG Aerospace (MAG) is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to Diversity and Inclusion.
