This salaried exempt position requires extensive knowledge of turbine aircraft and engine maintenance inclusive of 14 CFR Parts 135 and 145. The job includes management of the shop process, control and evaluation of the shop expenses and finances and development of the operations to meet the needs of the company. Work order processing, logbook and maintenance release entries and pricing to the sales and customers are routine duties. Job duties will vary each day Manage the scheduling process when inter-department issues arise, or movement of personnel is required. Will be required to work independently, exercise discretion and independent judgment and coordinate designated customer and company projects. Will have direct customer contact. Will be required to manage and supply contract labor to programs in need of additional help. Will be required to help resolve conflicts and personnel issues in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations.

  2. Ensure project flow and work process meet expectations. Schedule and work quality are essential in these functions.

  3. Work with customer in customer support roles and solving issues.

  4. Work with Sales and customers on project management, pricing, schedule changes and support.

  5. Continue to expand the capabilities of the department to meet the needs of the company.

  6. Develop and assist sales with quotes for different aircraft models and projects.

  7. Work with customers in project management and customer support roles.

  8. Any other job-related duties

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
Four-year management degree helpful.
Extensive customer service training / experience required. Finance training or experience required.
Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.

20 years prior experience on turbine business aircraft and systems (Preferred).

15 years’ experience in supervision of 10 or more team members.

Program Management or supervision of 20 or more team members required.

5 or more years extensive FAA paperwork, work order and billing process experience required.

10 or more years extensive business aviation customer service experience required.

Intermediate to advanced computer experience or training required. To include experience with Microsoft Office, accounting, work order and billing software.

Initiative

Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.

Ability to lead, provide incentive and boost morale of team members in both good and bad situations / economic times.

Able to deal directly with customer, including with areas of conflict. Skillful in resolving those conflicts in a professional business manner.

Able to help develop Airframe Programs and solve issues which may be inhibiting growth.

Able to train future business leaders from within the Team.
Able to provide vision and insightful leadership and communicate those objectives

Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Ensure all Airframe Programs follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Maintain customer-oriented work habits and ensure Team members do the same. Direct the work and flow of multiple projects as needed.

Hold ultimate responsibility for completion of work orders, FAA paperwork and billing invoices.

Development, supervision, and growth of the department

Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Routine walking, sitting and occasional bending.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands. Intermediate to advance personal computer operations.

Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines. Ability to troubleshoot or evaluate operations and processes. Ability to evaluate personnel or process situations.
Ability to work with others in a professional manner.

Ability to coordinate projects. Extensive team management skills. Extensive customer contact skills.

The majority of work will be accomplished in an office environment. Varied positions in and around the aircraft or shop area.

Personal computer and work order prints. Telephone and other office equipment.
