Aircraft Mechanic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on aircraft as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines hydraulic electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Run diagnostic tests to identify malfunctions
  • Perform monthly quarterly and annual checks on the aircraft.
  • Maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health safety and security policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (A&P Certificate).
  • Minimum of two (2) years current general aviation maintenance experience preferred.
  • A valid US Drivers License.
  • Must be able to pass background check drug test and employment verification.
  • A complete set of tools designed for or appropriate for aircraft maintenance.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Problem solving and organization skills are required
  • Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.
Physical Requirements:
  • Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Stooping below wings to chock aircraft.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision.
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs.
  • Frequent lifts or pulls of up to 50 lbs. are normal and the physical requirements include stooping kneeling climbing bending twisting sitting crouching reaching and handling.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to loud aircraft noise chemicals jet fuels and hydraulic fluids.
