<p>Aircraft Mechanic II (23022)Specialty: Airframes / Structures / Powerplants / Avionics / Electrical / EgressLocation: VP-69 NAS Whidbey WA Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite Clearance: Secret | CAC requiredProvides support of Organizational-level aircraft maintenance support on P-8 series aircraft in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) applicable technical data and federal contract requirements.Mid-level aircraft mechanic supporting contract maintenance on P-8 series aircraft at Squadron VP-69.Essential FunctionsPerform complex aircraft maintenance inspections troubleshooting repair and modificationDocument maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systemsMay lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanicsEnsure compliance with Tool Control FOD safety and quality programsDutiesPerform general aircraft maintenanceScheduled and Unscheduled maintenanceFlight Line Operations/FunctionsSupport Equipment (SE) Operations and InspectionsAircraft MovementCorrosion Control and Spot TreatmentTroubleshootingPreservation and De-preservationOrdnance HandlingTechnical Directive Compliance and ModificationsPerform and inspect airframe flight control hydraulic pneumatic and landing gear systemsInterpret technical manuals drawings and directivesDocument maintenance actions per NAMP requirementsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications6+ years airframe avionics or powerplant aviation maintenance experience4+ years P-8A or similar aircraft maintenance experienceMust be able to work day swing or mid shift as requiredEngine run qualification preferredFormer CDI/CDQAR preferredFormer Safe for Flight preferredSecret clearance requiredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation including lifting up to 50 lbs. standing and walking for extended periods bending kneeling climbing and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments wear required PPE and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Compensation$39.58/hour + $2.65 H&WBenefits:Employees are offered medical dental vision and basic life insurance.
