Description, duties, responsibilities

Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibility:The Captain is responsible for all normal flight and flight operations duties his/her crew and aircraft from report to duty until released. This aircraft will be operated on demand with varying flight and duty schedules and all operations will be conducted under part 121 of the U.S. FARs.The duties and responsibilities consist of and include but are not limited to the following:Act as the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) of the flightCarry out duties concerning the flight in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures including procedures limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft typeProvide safe navigation of the aircraft maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and its safe terrain clearanceSafely and properly conduct the flight in compliance with the current flight planExperience and SkillsEducation Requirements:Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GEDAviation Related College Degree preferredQualifications Certificates Licenses and Document Requirements:A valid unrestricted drivers licenseA valid unrestricted passportFirst Class MedicalFAA Commercial Pilot License with an Instrument RatingFAA Airline Transport Pilot CertificateFCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator PermitExperience and Skills:2500 hours total time and 500 hours turbine timeMinimum of 500 hours in a type FAR 121 airlineType rated in Boeing-737Work Environment and Culture Skills:Basic MS Office knowledge computer software and internet proficiencyCandidate must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background checkCandidate should be motivated resourceful energetic organized and able to manage and be managedCandidate must be reliable punctual and flexibleCandidate must be able to multi-task respect and maintain confidentialityCandidate must be ethical trustworthy with sensitive informationCandidate must be service oriented and able to work at a fast pace and handle stress and problematic issues well with a good attitudeCandidate must be able to communicate effectively and work within a team-focused environmentCandidate must be respectful of diverse populations and culturesCandidate must have an outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationshipsPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Employees are regularly required to stand sit talk hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboardLocation Requirements:Operation based in Ypsilanti MI at Willow Run Airport (YIP)There is no ability to work from homeThere will be no relocation package for this positionShift Requirements:13 days on 10 days off schedule bid in 90 day incrementsMust be available to work weekends and holidaysMust be available full-time and for assigned shifts; including nights weekends and holidaysOther Requirements:Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesJob BenefitsPay:Full salary at start of training along with accommodations at base (YIP)Competitive Salary established pay scale including yearly increases and bonusesPer DiemPosition Specific Benefits:Company paid tickets to and from base or aircraft locationCASS (Cockpit Access Security System) - jump seat privileges and cockpit access for work and personal travelKCM (Known Crewmember)Benefits:Medical/Prescription/Vision/AmwellDentalShort Term Disability Employee Assistance ProgramTravel Assistance ProgramLife Insurance/Voluntary Life Insurance - Employee Spouse and ChildUnum Accident/Critical Flexible Spending Medical/Dependent Care Fidelity 401k with an Employer match
