Junior Engine Product Line Specialist

Jet Support Services, Inc. is seeking a well-qualified Junior Engine Product Line Specialist to be based at our McKinney, Texas office.

Position Summary:

The mission of the Junior Engine PLS is to provide direct administrative and case management support to the various Product Line Specialists, Engine PLS Manager and Senior Director of Engine Services, through various means. This employee endeavors to expand technical proficiency through continuous study of all applicable publications and materials related to the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Periodic Review of Engine Maintenance forecast to validate pending Scheduled Maintenance
  2. Technical review of historical service records to customize work scope
  3. Liaise with JSSI’s preferred provider network in generation of sales proposals
  4. Preparation of MRO sales proposal analysis for JSSI client
  5. Coordinate case reviews and event turnover with respective Engine PLS
  6. Possesses the ability to initiate off wing Scheduled maintenance events; which includes but is not limited to, opening and maintaining a technical case, technical documentation gathering and review of MRO sales proposals for accuracy
  7. Assumes responsibility of a technical case from the Engine PLS at key handover benchmarks
  8. Collection and review of post maintenance service records.
  9. Analyzes and pre-codes Scheduled Maintenance invoices in accordance with the contract terms prior to submitting for Tech Management approval
  10. Capable of meeting key individual performance metrics and assists in helping others reach their departmental/individual goals
  11. Communicate effectively both verbally and written with clients, service centers, OEMs and fellow co-workers

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Performs other responsibilities as assigned by Technical Services Management.
  2. Assist with special projects for the Technical Services department.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or related turbine-powered business aircraft experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to deal with the public and the aviation industry.
  • Ability to read and write articulately and analytically.
  • Clear understanding of relevant technical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently
