Job Description:This mechanic will be required to troubleshoot systems conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft systems and components including but not limited to flight controls engines hydraulics fuel systems and mechanical components. Mechanic will apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and airworthiness. They will apply required expertise in restoring aircraft to airworthy condition by interpreting technical documents such as manufacturers manuals Airworthiness Directives and Technical Bulletins.This position will work at our Steamboat Spring Air BaseShift is 20 days on / 10 days offPerforms daily aircraft maintenance for aircraft at their home base and satellite locations.Schedules coordinates and completes scheduled maintenance and inspections in a timely manner.Documents maintains and completes aircraft records in accordance with FAA and Intermountain requirements.Tracks aircraft inspection component due times and completion of tasks in computer database.Responsible to maintain company-owned special tools and equipment in good working order. Ensures calibration requirements are met.Assists as requested in the transport of equipment and supplies including but not limited to medical equipment and medical drug bags with controlled substances.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends and new developments in the aviation field.Minimum QualificationsCurrent Federal Aviation Airframe and Power Plant license.Two years aviation maintenance experience.Working knowledge of both fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft and respective turbine engines.Preferred QualificationsBell 407 and 429 experience with factory training.Understanding / proficiency of track and balance and equipment procedures. Advanced Troubleshooting Training / Experience.Physical Requirements:Interact with others requiring the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information. and -Support the weight of aviation parts and equipment while transporting it. Push or pull portable equipment including heavy items. and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer parts tools and equipment. Will also bend to retrieve lift and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights up to and including heavy items. and -May be expected to stand or sit in a stationary position for an extended period of time. and -Ascend and descend stairs to and from and off and on aircraft. and -Raise or lower an object from one level to another. and -Operate aviation maintenance equipment tools computers and devices requiring the ability to move fingers and hands. and -See and read various monitors and documents. and -Transport oneself from place to place. and -Move around on hands and knees including in small confined spaces within aircraft.
