Description, duties, responsibilities
1. POSITION:Passenger Service AgentMeet and greet customers with tickets. Assist passengers as requested orrequired. Monitors ticket counter and Self Service Check-in queue activity.Assist with the ticketing and boarding process gates and baggage service.2. DUTIES:a. Greet passengers clients and airline personnel in a courteous andprofessional manner.b. Reads and understands letters and numbers in order to accurately pre-screenpassenger tickets and determine city destination/gate locations(International and Domestic destinations) from reference documents.c. Provide general information to passengers give directions and flightinformation.d. Provide special services (courtesy chairs/bag carts) as required.e. Direct large pieces of luggage pets and other checked articles too largeto be dispatched in the baggage handling system to oversize.f. Summon the security supervisor and refer difficult or uncooperativepassengers to security.g. Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areasmaintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.h. Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients staff andpublic in a courteous manner.i. Attend meetings and in services as required.j. Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records reportsand files as required.k. Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by companyofficials.l. Identification badges must always be visible.m. Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievementof company objectives.n. Utilize company and client equipment supplies and resources in aconscientious cost effective manner.o. Perform other duties as requested.3. REQUIREMENTS:a. High School diploma or equivalent.b. Computer experience necessary.c. Previous Customer Service experience preferredd. Must be 18 years of age or older.e. Must have a working telephone number for contact.f. Must have reliable telephone and transportation.4. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:a. Treat all information as confidential.b. Possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations clientrepresentatives employees and the public.c. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and writtencommunication.e. Must be able to read write understand and carry out instructions inEnglish.f. Must be able to stand/walk in terminal area throughout the scheduled shift.g. Must be able to consistently push pull and lift 50 to 70 lbs.h. Must be able to carry oversized bags (ski bags snow board bags bootbags etc.) 100 to 125 yards.i. Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.j. Must complete a criminal background check.k. Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitiveidentification badge.l. Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessaryauthorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).5. PREFERRED SKILLS:a. Customer Service6. WAGE:a. Wages will be discussed in the interview.7. SHIFTS:a. Full Time training (5 weeks starting Nov. 12.) and Part Time seasonalwork approximately 5 hours a day.8. JOB SITE:a. Gunnison Colorado9.
