BASIC FUNCTION: Oversees the Aviation QC processes and procedures to ensure they are required effective and efficient; make sure the workforce understand these processes and procedures and lastly; to make sure employees are qualified capable and motivated to perform duties assigned by the Aviation Quality Manager. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Develop implement and maintain policies and procedures for Aviation Quality Management. Evaluate incoming product as necessary overlook the daily incoming/outgoing inspection processes. Evaluate all trace requirements including 8130-3 and EASA Form 1. Demonstrate core competency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances ability to read blue prints specifications and technical data sheets. Understand customer needs and to develop effective quality control processes. Ability to review advise and dis nonconforming material. Validate and approve ATA Specification 106 for flight safety and airworthiness products. Manage investigations analyses and reporting related to the handling of complaints non-conformances identify root cause and take action to prevent reoccurrence. Evaluate metrics and analyze trends for Quality inspection and testing processes to drive corrective actions and continuous improvements. Assist with government contract for inspection testing and packaging. Assist the Director of Quality Assurance and Senior Director of Quality Compliance for product nonconformities from customers or suppliers. Manage and train Quality control inspection personnel. Develop and maintain a training platform for the growth of quality control inspectors. Performs quality control inspections checks and tests during the receiving process of products as necessary. Inspects and identifies material and documentation by part number serial number quantity condition and trace requirement. Insures all data is properly entered into EPDS. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Implement lean practices through the Quality Department and efficient work flows. Ensure compliance with company code of conduct and all applicable laws regulations rules and policies. Comply with all of the AS9120 AS9100 ISO 9001 ASA-100 and IDEA QMS 9090 Quality Management System and criteria of CCAP-101 AS6081 AC7402 AS5553 and ANSI/ESD-S20.20 CAAP. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPENTENCY: B.A./B.S. from an accredited college. BS in Engineering preferred. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the inspection field. Knowledge of IDEA-STD-1010 CCAP-101 AS6081 AC7402 QTSL/QSLD testing requirements. CQE/CQI certified. Contract review ability to determine for QAP FAR DFAR CFR. Advanced knowledge of Counterfeit Avoidance and Mitigation; minimum training for AS6081. Working knowledge of Government reporting databases; i.e. GIDEP ERAI. Ability to report interact with Government agencies as required. High technical skills in the field of aerospace ability to read analyze and determine all on blueprints technical data sheets specification documents. TRAINING Please see training matrix.
