ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
+ Provides technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
+ Manages the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
+ Monitors the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
+ Maintains system backups including creation and testing
+ Responds to and resolve Service Desk requests
+ Upgrades systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
+ Administers infrastructure including firewalls databases malware protection software and other processes
+ Reviews application and system logs
+ Installs and tests computer-related equipment
+ Stays current with new technologies organizing pilot studies and demonstrations to understand how they may fit into the current environment
+ Works with IT Management team to ensure compliance for governmental and contractual requirements
+ Conducts oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
+ Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems or equivalent experience in system administration
+ Experience maintaining VMWare environments and Windows servers including setup/build patching troubleshooting and application/operating system performance tuning
+ Two years’ experience with server virtualization
+ Experience with Storage Area Network technologies Veeam Nimble VMware administration and design and implementation of new systems
+ Ability to manage Active Directory and Group Policies
+ Experience designing and maintaining wired and wireless infrastructure
+ Ability to install configure and maintain Exchange Server SQL Server and M365
+ Experience in administration of IP Switching and TCP/IP networking
+ General understanding of Cisco Systems required CCNA preferred
+ Strong customer service orientation
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas concepts and proposals to a wide range of internal and external audiences at all levels both technical and non-technical
+ Five years of supervisor or management experience is preferred with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach employees
