Description, duties, responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responsible for maintaining Columbia Helicopter’s Wastewater Treatment Plant drain fields and associated pump station(s) in compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
+ Collects samples and identifies concentrations of chemical physical or biological characteristics of wastewater required in accordance with local state and federal requirements.
+ Gathers and tests wastewater samples for optimal plant operational efficiency.
+ Monitors performance of all equipment gauges pumps and valves etc.
+ Ability to perform all operational maintenance and repairs on applicable wastewater treatment systems to include associated pump stations in compliance with regulatory guidance and safe work practices.
+ Use computerized control systems to monitor and control plant processes equipment and instrument activities for the treatment plant operations
+ Charts lab test results for trend analysis and maintains accurate records of analyses and test results. Evaluates data and writes reports as required.
+ Troubleshoots and respond to alarms and potential issues: evaluate situations to make initial assessment of potential problems and decide on the appropriate problem-solving solution.
+ Prepares and submits annual discharge summary report and Monthly DMRs for review prior to submission to Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
+ Analyze and evaluate current operating procedures and maintenance activities; initiate and recommend new and improved practices.
+ Contain and facilitate disposal of hazardous wastes generated by the plant.
+ Calibrates modifies or repairs instrumentation and control equipment including recorders flowmeter and other monitoring equipment.
+ Operates and maintains sewage pump stations drain fields cleans wet wells and operates pumps and valves to control and adjust flow and treatment process.
+ Assist with a variety of other Safety efforts (approximately 30% of position).
+ Will work under the direct and indirect Supervision of the HSE Manager.
+ Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.
+ Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
+ Basic understanding of Environmental Safety.
+ May require the ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
+ Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format
+ Ability to seek out work recommend projects and work independently
+ Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person
+ Ability to interpret and apply technical reports and regulatory rules
+ Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally
+ Ability to perform process control calculations
+ Handle critical emergency situations
+ Microsoft Office Suite: Expert
+ High School or Equivalent or better in High School or Equivalent
Licenses and Certifications
+ Oregon Drivers License
+ Wastewtr Sys Op III Cert
+ Experience performing operator maintenance on wastewater treatment systems preferred.
+ 2 years: At least two years of industrial maintenance experience to include the safe troubleshooting and diagnosis of basic electrical and mechanical systems.
