Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems (SIWS) Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Manager to lead our Intelligence Systems SEIT efforts, and new business opportunities for Intelligence Systems Proprietary Sea & Subsurface programs.  Specifically, the responsibilities are to support and align sustaining engineering and development efforts with Intelligence Systems program related system engineering management processes, as well as drive efforts to integrate Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) system engineering processes and tool sets.  The overall vision of the SDS SEIT manager includes ensuring our system engineering processes and staff are capable to meet sustainment, modernization, and mission requirements, safeguarding the land-based leg of the nuclear triad and providing test support to other mission partners where available. This position located in Huntington Beach, CA, provides oversight of first line related system engineering manager(s).

Position Responsibilities:

  • SEIT oversight and leadership of approximately 90 engineers

  • Oversees systems engineering process development and improvement, including program SEMP/PEP input, technical reviews, RCCA, risk management, and support to software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams

  • Drives staffing, hiring, and workforce planning efforts, including recruiting strategy, requisitions, interviews, offers, staffing forecasts, and support for training, promotions, and resource needs

  • Serves as the point of contact for SEIT support functions such as Quality, Safety, Security, compliance, tool/data access, travel approvals, and team member requirements

  • Partners with program and business leaders to translate engineering and operational needs into actionable workforce, capability, and execution plans, while supporting critical skills identification and succession planning

  • Champions enterprise and organizational initiatives, including Lean+, MBE, DevEx, employee engagement, mentoring, recognition programs, and Boeing Resource Group leadership

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) 

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 10+ years of engineering experience

  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering practices for requirement verification

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional teams in engineering and/or testing

  • Proven experience in executive-level communication and presentations

  • Strong ability to cultivate excellent customer and stakeholder relationships

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

  • Strong RCCA and Risk Management skills

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams

  • Strong experience in program and project management

  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Ability to adapt to evolving technological landscapes and integrate new advancements

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and upholding industry standards
