Boeing is seeking for an Accountant to join Boeing Poland team and support overall Finance and Accounting operations in country. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Professional with a deep understanding of Polish local accounting requirements, tax frameworks, and Polish GAAP (or IFRS where applicable). The ideal candidate will ensure our financial operations remain strictly compliant with local laws and the Polish Tax Administration.

As a member of our diverse and inclusive team you will play an important role and your mission will be to perform statutory accounting and to work with multiple functions across the entire organization from around the world to ensure the correct reflection of the statutory accounting in our ERP system. You also will be responsible for working on statutory accounting and compliance, tax reporting, audits, process improvement projects and other financial tasks.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Position responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and approve journal entries and GL accounts reconciliation
  • Ensure the accuracy of accounting entries and account reconciliations for assigned entities
  • Support month end, quarter and year end closing activities for assigned entities and timely review of reconciliation of all GL accounts
  • Preparation of management accounts reports
  • Variance analysis report out to leadership
  • Support the tax declaration process (VAT, CIT, etc) as well as any statistical reporting requirements.
  • Support with statutory compliance activities: preparation and review of financial statements, external audit support
  • Representation of the company towards external stakeholders Tax Office, Central Statistics Office, National bank
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in key business initiatives and activities to support business growth
  • Be involved in improving the quality of processes and systems
  • Drive initiatives in projects regarding continuous improvement and optimization. This also includes driving process optimization through automation and robotization

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in international accounting environment
  • Experienced in all aspects of financial accounting
  • Strong written and oral communications in English and Polish.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.
  • ERP and accounting systems skills (Experience in following system is plus: Oracle, SAP, Blackline, etc) 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Other language is a plus

  • Excellent team work and communication skills, self-motivated and able to work individually

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Poland. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in Poland.
