The Opportunity -

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

We are seeking a Technical Officer (Avionics)who will join the AH-64 Apache team.to support the most modern and capable configuration of the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter.

The role is to be based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO).

As a Technical Officer (Avionics) within BDA you will:

• Provides technical and task supervision in a single or cross-trade team, supporting both high priority activity and longer-term tasks.
• Provide technical support for maintenance, repair and preventive measures that ensure continued safe and economic operations of electrical/avionics systems for customers.
• Acts as a conduit between engineering, maintenance and supply chain.
• Communicate and work to articulate and resolve design and operational issues and concerns with Engineers.
• Apply avionics technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data.
• Assist software, armament, and avionics engineering personnel with fault finding, troubleshooting and solution development.
• Develop in-service correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Develop, maintain and release electrical/avionics drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards.
• Required AASB Engineering Authority: Logistics Engineer.

To be considered for the role you will have:

• [Essential] Relevant Aerospace Engineering degree, 5 years+ relevant experience in similar role.
• (Desirable) prior defence service/defence aerospace experience.
• Meet Defence security and ITAR requirements.
• (Beneficial) completion of DASR 21, Part M, Type cert courses.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

NOTE: This role is due to commence in February 2025.
