Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Fabrication Specialist (Level A) to support the Metals Assembly Team in Salt Lake City, Utah or West Jordan, Utah on Multiple Shifts.
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks;
Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks;
Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components;
Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains;
Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products;
Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products;
Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests;
Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation;
Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements;
Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Lake City, UT or West Jordan, UT.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed;
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.; Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.; Occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing; Frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder; Frequent sitting; Frequent climbing.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data.
Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift Work Statement:
This position is multiple shifts, you might work with different hours:
