The opportunity

The Boeing MQ-28A is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage in airborne missions. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years. Enabled by autonomous capabilities, the aircraft will fly alongside other platforms to team with existing crewed and uncrewed assets.

We are seeking a talented individual with experience in military aircraft sustainment and analysis to join the program as our MQ-28A Product Support Technical Assessor. As the MQ-28A, the successful applicant will liaise directly with the customer, and Boeing Maintenance, Engineering and Supply teams to provide technical assessment for sustainment support of MQ-28A operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver logistics and technical support as directed by the MQ-28A Operations Support Manager
  • Aeronautical product technical data analysis relating to new items for MQ-28A configurations.
  • Analysis and Management of As-Built Configuration records for transfer and upload to In-Service Maintenance control tools (i.e cMRO Suite and Oracle ERP)
  • Review and action applicable Logistic Support Analysis, Material Process Management Reports and Data Correctness Reports within 3DX.
  • Analyse impacts for Technical Substitutions, in liaison with responsible Technical Assessors and Program Engineering teams.
  • Process data amendments/corrections and action logistics requirements for Modifications within Boeing cMRO management applications.
  • Liaison with in-service Maintenance Planners and SCM for item Configuration identification and Management
  • Provide interrogations and interpretations of engineering technical drawings and specifications.
  • Action reviews for specific inventory items, including Aeronautical Defect and Deficiency Reports.
  • Provide technical advice to Engineering and Supply chain personnel in relation to Statements of work and other recommended orders within. Action requests for information from Defence for MQ-28A supportability, including Part Numbers, alternates and equivalents, Technical Data validation, CoCs Tech inspections. This will have a knock-on effect to 3Dx and cMRO data remediation.
  • Transfer skills and knowledge to others within the Product Support capability through the sharing of ideas, information and experiences. Seek opportunities for professional development and support the contributions of others.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with a minimum three years using Defence logistic and maintenance data tool sets.
  • Ability to easily integrate into established teams and work within an inclusive environment
  • NV1 clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with a Systems Program Office (SPO) environment.
  • Demonstrated ability using approved Defence tools such as CAMM2/MILIS/ERP/CMRO
