Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Trade Control Specialist to join Global Trade Controls (GTC) team in Delhi, India. In this role you will develop and implement a comprehensive global trade compliance program, manage export and import processes, and provide expert guidance to enable business growth while maintaining regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of global trade regulations, excellent analytical skills, and deep knowledge of business operations, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. This individual contributor will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy—able to manage responsibilities with minimal oversight, maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues, and make sound judgments—while executing complex compliance activities.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global trade compliance program that enables business success while ensuring compliance with India, U.S., and other applicable trade regulations.

  • Design and execute a strategic export licensing plan to support long-term business objectives.

  • Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives and drive implementation across programs and regions.

  • Advise business and functional stakeholders on complex trade compliance requirements and risks for new initiatives, products, and high?stakes programs.

  • Assess compliance requirements and risk for Concept of Operation (CONOPS), transaction models, business capture strategies, acquisitions, and JVs, and recommend mitigations.

  • Plan, design, implement, and manage global trade processes, infrastructure, and solutions for high?profile activities involving multiple programs, regulatory agencies, and export authorization types.

  • Collaborate with global and U.S. based, cross-functional teams (GTC, programs, legal, etc.) to provide integrated trade compliance support.

  • Develop and deliver training, communications, monitoring, and assessment plans to raise compliance awareness and capabilities.

  • Benchmark and implement industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor the regulatory landscape, assess operational impact, and develop strategies to adapt to new requirements.

  • Create reports, dashboards, and executive communications that enhance leadership visibility and operational predictability.

  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy—manage responsibilities with minimal oversight, maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues, and make sound judgments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUAFICATION

  • EPR Systems – SAP GTS experience

  • Strong Communication

  • Analytical Skills

  • Government Laws/Regulations

  • Regulatory Knowledge

  • Fluency in English (read, written, and spoken) required.

  • Proficient in MS office suite and digital collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 12 years related work experience.
