The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) team. This Manufacturing Engineering position will be based in Oklahoma City, OK and support multiple programs including the US Air Force, NATO, France, Saudi, and Japan.
Position Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for this position will have technical experience across multiple areas of manufacturing engineering planning including: structures and mechanisms, mechanical, and electrical systems. The Manufacturing Engineer on will be responsible for authoring and updating Work Instructions, and 3D Model Based Work Instructions (MBIs). Experience working with CATIA V5 and PDM tools such as TeamCenter and ENOVIA is a plus. AWACS supports a variety of Program activities ranging from development, production and procurement, and aircraft modification. As such we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in multiple activities including implementation of design for manufacturing, development of cost-reduction redesign opportunities, and incorporation of engineering changes. The ideal candidate will have strong balance between technical skills, and strength in communications, presentation, creativity, vision, and work ethic.
Security Clearances:
?This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start isrequired.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor, degree or higher from a course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 2 or more years in Manufacturing, Production, Industrial or Tool Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems such as GOLDesp, MESci.
- Experience with Product Data Management tools/systems such as TeamCenter and ENOVIA
- Experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as CATIA V5 or NX/Unigraphics
- Experience supporting both Aircraft Development and Production programs
- Experience with Producibility Reviews, Drawing Reviews, Part Procurement/Production, and thorough understanding of configuration control processes.
- Experience authoring work instructions for aircraft modification sites.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
