Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support the tactical fighter aircraft production of the F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and 777X Wing  in the Saint Louis, MO. Region.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.

• Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

• Leads and implements manufacturing plans.

• Conducts productibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

• Assists in providing productibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document productibility best practices.

• Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.

• Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.

• Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

• Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.

• Implements lean principles and technologies.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing or production role

• Experience in Lean process implementation

• ABET Accredited or equivalent B.S. or higher in Engineering, Math, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Physics  

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering

• Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers

• Experience with 3D model based instruction

• Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi-Monitor Collaborative Rooms

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
