Boeing is currently looking for Mid-level Test & Evaluation Industrial Engineer to join their team in Berkeley, MO.
This Industrial Engineering role includes working with several Design and Manufacturing teams focused on the fabrication of equipment within Boeing Test & Evaluation. Candidate will help manage multiple labs throughput while evaluating process performance metrics such as cost, quality, schedule, and productivity.
Position responsibilities
Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.
Develops plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.
Evaluates new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
Conducts work flow design and analysis. Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers.
Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
Develops and implements plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
Creates product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.
Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.
Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support.
Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
4+ years of experience with engineering field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in laboratory operations
Experience with project management work, to include meeting cost, schedule and quality targets
Experience in industrial engineering and/or systems engineering
Experience working documents such as Engineering/Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Lean Manufacturing and/or Root Cause Corrective Action
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
