Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a B-52 CERP Avionics First Line Manager within the Bombers and Fighters division. The position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The position available is within the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and Avionics team.
Position Responsibilities include:
Manages teams performing engineering development of avionics.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, processes, proposals, labor and material estimates, team budgets and their associated performance.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
5+ years experience in Systems Engineering.
3+ years engineering leadership (in lead or manager role).
3+ years’ experience dealing with military customers.
1+ years’ experience managing projects across cost, schedule, quality, and technical.
Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
Best qualified candidates will typically possess 7 or more years of applicable experience in systems engineering with emphasis on avionics integration, engine integration or flight deck design with Air Force Military platforms.
Working knowledge of US Air Force regulations relative to areas such as quality safety, and air worthiness.
Excellent communications skills (internal to the organization and external to the customer).
