Associate or Experienced Manufacturing Operations Analyst

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Experienced Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team in Kennedy Space Center Florida.

Experimental Service Group (ESG) supports a variety of government customers spanning technology domains and is a fast-paced responsive development environment delivering new capabilities to customers rapidly and affordably. The ESG portfolio consists of a range of platforms and technologies that includes the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV). The X-37B OTV is the United States most advanced state-of-the-art reentry space craft.

BDS is one of the worlds largest defense space and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions and the worlds largest and most versatile producer of military aircraft and commercial/civil/government space systems.

Position Responsibilities – Associate Level 2:

• Assist with activities across multiple functions to resolve emergent issues in support of specific operations
• Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
• Provides limited feedback on assessment results
• Support the organization to implement strategies and plans
• Works under general supervision

Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 3:

• Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
• Analyzes and interprets data
• Provides feedback on assessment results
• Works with organizations to develop strategies plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes
• Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
• Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift: This position is for 1st or 2nd shift however candidates must be willing to work any shift weekends and overtime as required.

NASA Access: This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• More than 1 year of experience in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment
• More than 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office including Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint and Teams
• More than 1 year of experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree or higher
• Associate Level 2: More than 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experienced Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Experience with project management
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to look forward strategically and develop detailed solutions and specifications
• Strong analytic problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years related work experience 7 years related work experience etc.)

Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience 10 years related work experience etc.)

Travel: Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Associate Level 2: $74800 - $101200

Summary pay range Experienced Level 3: $90950 - $123050
