Angelo Precision Aircraft, a 50-year established FAA Part 145 Repair Station, is seeking an experienced Senior Avionics Technician with strong Garmin installation and troubleshooting experience to support our expanding avionics department.

We provide maintenance and avionics services for a diverse fleet including Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, Robinson Helicopter, King Air, and Cessna Caravan aircraft. This position offers the opportunity to work on both piston and turbine platforms with modern avionics systems in a stable, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade Garmin avionics systems (GTN Xi, G500/600 TXi, GI 275, GTX series, GFC autopilot systems)

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on avionics and aircraft electrical systems

• Execute panel upgrades and full-system retrofit installations

• Interpret wiring diagrams, STCs, and manufacturer documentation

• Maintain compliance with FAA and Repair Station procedures

• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and office staff to support project workflow

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years avionics installation experience in general aviation

• Strong hands-on Garmin installation experience required

• Troubleshooting experience with aircraft electrical and avionics systems

• Experience with turbine aircraft (King Air, Caravan, etc.) preferred

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Personal hand tools appropriate for avionics work required

• A&P certification preferred but not required for qualified candidates
