Overview The Senior Captain / Pilot to be located near the Morristown area is responsible for the operation of the corporate aircraft.? When assigned to a flight the captain has the final authority regarding the operation of the aircraft. Individual in this role ensures that all flight and ground operations are conducted at the highest levels of safety and comply with federal aviation regulations applicable foreign regulations department and company policies and procedures. ? Main Areas of Responsible for the aircraft to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew on board. Accomplish duties of pilot-in-command as defined by Federal Aviation Regulations the aircraft flight manual and the department policy and operations manual and is operationally responsible for all phases of the flight. Develop and maintain a complete knowledge understanding and a mastery of the aircraft systems. When operating conditions change make decisions to deviate from planned routes or destinations. When such circumstances arise always consult with other crewmembers to obtain as much information as possible to determine the best course of action. Maintain open channels of communication with all crew members. Responsible for maintaining highest standards of safety through acquiring all appropriate knowledge pertaining to any flights. Develop and maintain thorough understanding about the operation and location of all aircraft emergency survival and medical equipment. Keep fully informed on FAA and foreign regulations and department policy pertaining to operations. Keep informed of latest industry aircraft or equipment developments that may impact the department. Serve in an advisory capacity to the Head of Aviation and Director of Maintenance regarding aircraft flight operations. Monitor crew performance and delegate duties required for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. Develop and maintain the ability to effectively communicate with passengers corporate executives and customers. Education/ The following listed need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job: College degree required. An Airline Transport Pilot Certificate w/multi-engine endorsement required. Current 1st Class Medical Certificate required. FCC Restricted Radio Operator Certificate required. Valid US Passport required. GV and GVI rated preferred. Minimum of 5 years of international business jet experience preferred. Preferred Skills/Qualification The below skills are attributes that may not be mandatory but are definitely desired in the ideal candidate: Knowledge of Federal Aviation regulations. Knowledgeable of emergency procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a crew excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communications skills. High attention to detail. Strong organization skills. Highly motivated self-starter. #LI-KK.
