AMA seeks a mid-level to senior-level software engineer with aerospace industry experience to assist in the development of high-quality solutions for small satellite programs and for our spaceborne product line. will include the development of space flight ground segment test set and simulation software. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities. The ideal candidate will have a broad background in embedded systems including an understanding of embedded hardware platforms. The job encompasses all phases of the software process including definition software design implementation and test documentation and support. The successful candidate will support spacecraft operations during simulated and real missions in collaboration daily with other team members and with the hardware counterparts. Prior experience developing high reliability systems in the aerospace automotive or medical industry (or equivalent) is expected. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field Strong background using C++ and C for embedded software development and device control Software development techniques for bare-metal and embedded Linux Ability to understand and employ standard software development processes including software analysis design testing peer review and continuous integration techniques Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and with team members Support work-related travel Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering preferred Experience: Host/target development with Arm Cortex M-series and A-series processors Other embedded processor families JTAG debugging Serial I2C SPI and CAN bus interface operation C# Python development Network programming VxWorks or other RTOS Must be a citizen of the United States ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES CONSIDERED
