AVMATS Engine Support in OFallon MO is seeking a full-time experienced Aircraft Technician.Candidate must posses skills and knowledge in the performance of scheduled maintenance and inspections repairs and modifications on various types of business jet and turboprop aircraft.Opening available for day shift position 7 am - 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday.TRAVEL REQUIREDEssential Duties and Responsibilities- Applicant must have working knowledge of aircraft and engine systems applicable to position applied for. Performance of aviation technician functions including inspection repair system checkout and basic sheet metal skills a must. Applicants should include a summary of their training history.- Have proper hand-tools to complete work assigned.- Process inspection forms and sign name as Technician that work is completed and is airworthy.- Responsible to the Leadman/Inspector.- Familiarization with the contents and procedures of the Repair Station Manual and the Quality Control System Manual.- Notify proper authority of any suspected unairworthy conditions found during the performance of their duties.- Accomplish work in accordance with proper aircraft standards using only technical data supplied by the Repair Station.- Assure that all parts received from stock have a proper maintenance release tag or in the case of shelf-life materials that the item(s) are not outdated. If materials are outdated assure that the outdated items are returned to the stock department for proper disposition.- Ascertain that any precision measuring equipment used such as torque wrenches gauges meters micrometers etc. are in proper working order and that the calibration recertification due date has not expired.- See that all standard safety precautions are followed to prevent any accidents or injuries.Skills/Qualifications- Associates degree in aviation field preferred.- Exceptional troubleshooting ability and supporting and maintaining general aviation aircraft.- Effective communications skills both verbal and written.- Strong organizational skills.- Able to multi-task and work with accuracy and attention to detail.- Work within a team environment.- Be able to stand walk sit reach with hands/arms climb balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl.- May require lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more.AVMATS is a non-smoking facility.
